HYUUGA HIZASHI

Dearest uncle. Emotionally her father. Hizashi has more or less been Hinata's rock her whole life. Where her father is distant Hizashi is welcoming, not necessarily always warm, but he's been there for her. She trusts him to tell her what he thinks, to advise her, and occasionally keep her updated on her cousin. The hardest part of her relationship with her uncle is how so much of their actions must be filtered through the appropriate forms of respect according to clan rules.

HYUUGA NEJI

Cousin. Childhood friend. They were close as children but have long since drifted apart. Hinata is looking to hopefully retrieve some of their childhood closeness if she can just get over the intense awkwardness involved. It's just that, well, it's Neji. The genius to her mediocrity. He doesn't make her feel inferior and heaven's knows he treats her with nothing but respect, but he's just so damned confident and sure of where he is going in life. It's almost unnerving; maybe it's just the fact that she's forgotten how to be strictly Hyuuga over the years that makes it so difficult. Still she loves him dearly and has plans that she hopes will make his life better, she just wants to make sure their even feasible before telling him.

UCHIHA OBITO

Sensei, Hokage, minor hot for teacher issues. Best friend after Sasuke, mentor, big brother. There are more words to describe the intricacies of her relationship with the Hokage than is probably truly healthy. He's her favorite, which may be inappropriate, but she doesn't really care. He is more or less the reason she is less Hyuuga and more normal human being. She is closest to Obito, taking many of her concerns and problems to him long before she goes to her uncle or anyone else. She trusts him with everything about her and there isn’t a thing in the world that could shake her trust in him.

UCHIHA SASUKE

BFF FOR LIFE! Cuddle Buddy. Study buddy and regular mission partner. Despite being chunin and regularly being broken up for assignments, somehow they still seem to end up on all the clusterfuck missions together. At least the ones that seem to involve ambushes and near death experiences. They’re close, disgustingly so, they’ve worked together so long that they have a rather annoying habit of making major decisions through eye contact and minor gestures. She knows his patterns and moods and can read them with only a glance. In a fight they’re a terrifying combo for anyone unlucky enough to be on the receiving end of any team attack they make.

UZUMAKI NARUTO

Naruto is the teammate she has less clue how to handle, she’s friendly much like she would be with anyone else. She buys him ramen after training. And they work well together, especially since he’s the other half of the powerhouse duo that Obito created between her and him. Like with Sasuke they are terrifying in a fight especially when they combine their elemental natures as well as their various specialties. And well she likes him, so that may have something to do with her being a little more distant with Naruto.

UZUMAKI KUSHINA

Naruto’s mama and her kind of sort of adoptive mother. Most of her interactions with Kushina involve large get together of the previous two incarnations of Team 7 gathered around one table for dinner the Uzumaki residence. She has an open invitation to come to dinner any time which she still hasn’t actually accepted because she doesn’t want to seem like she Narut’s creepy stalker to his very powerful and occasionally scary mother. Last time she saw Kushina she helped fend off ambushers after the Yuki mission was finished.

UCHIHA ITACHI

The Uchiha heir. You could almost say they’re friends of sorts. They have at least agreed that it’s necessary to improve interactions between their clans. She enjoys his company when they meet by accident or by design. Despite the stiff formality involved in their interactions they both understand quite well the pressures they’re both under as clan heirs. He’s even offered to be of assistance if possible for her, something she still hasn’t decided if she’ll ever take him up on, but the offer was nice. She’s also painfully aware that if her father were desperate enough to entertain the idea of a merging between Hyuuga and Uchiha, Itachi would be his first choice in seeking a betrothal.

HARUNO SAKURA

It started out awkward. Mostly as a result of Sakura being strange to the point of being nihilistic. But once they moved from vague arguing to ninjutsu practice and demos things got better. They still haven’t worked together, but Hinata is fairly sure she wouldn’t mind the opportunity to work with the girl.

MILANI ADELA

Most awkward relationship ever. She genuinely wants to like Adela, can see herself getting along with her, but Adela has put up huge walls to keep her out and she does not understand. She is determined to be friends with this girl though, and she only hopes that Adela is open to said friendship eventually.

UCHIHA SHISUI

Doomed from the start. They are doomed to be forever awkward. Shisui won a date with her during the auctions to raise money for the Chunin exams. He apparently thought she was much older than her fifteen years, and pursued a date with her in much a similar fashion as he did her cousin- aggressively. Despite how badly the date ended she is determined to maintain at least a friendship with him. She actually considers him somewhere along the lines of a squishy teddy bear (totally influenced by the wounded panda onigiri he brought).

ASHIKO

They met entirely by accident. The onsen had overbooked and she, Sasuke, and Ashiko ended up sharing a room. She quickly discovered she liked her openness about her carrying poison as a defense even if Sasuke was concerned about it. And then she watched the girl get impaled during the first clusterfuck mission. She only knows that the girl is okay, she keeps meaning to send her a missive but has no idea what to write. Honestly, she’s just glad she hadn’t died from blood loss.

MAITO GAI

Gai was not the Jounin she expected to accompany her and Sasuke to Yukigakure, actually she’d fully expected to hear that Kakashi would be when she was assigned the mission. Most of her feelings toward him are a direct result of his friendship with Obito. He is exuberant, at the best times and annoyingly energetic at the worst. But she respects him as a ninja and as her cousin’s sensei. Too bad he let her get impaled on their way back from Yuki.

AZKADELLIA

Village Leader of Yukigakure. Early in July she attended trade negotiations in her village on Obito’s behalf. Creepy woman. She’s pretty sure that if it wouldn’t have caused a war the woman would have eaten her. Or something. At least the trade contracts were found satisfactory?

PETER PETTIGREW

Otogakure ninja that blinded her earlier this year. She has no idea what she would do if she ran into him again, though she hopes he wouldn’t opt to blind her again. It took far long than she would have liked to recover from that.

SEPHIROTH

Creepy visiting ninja during the Chunin Exams. She never wants to run into him again, and not even because he scares her (which he doesn’t). He’s just rude and arrogant. And she’s pretty sure he finds it funny when she’s annoyed with him, which she really doesn’t know what to do with.
